Did you knew ginger and what is it for?

Ginger is one of spices plant which can be used for food or drug ingredient. The texture little bit unique like small finger grow around the source.

Ginger had always been used as medicines, herbs and other various purposes. Ginger can stimulate the digestive gland, both for generating the appetite and digestion. Ginger is used as a seasoning especially potent to increase appetite, strengthen the stomach, and improve digestion. This is possible because the stomach mucous membrane stimulated the large intestine removed by the oil and ginger rhizome ASIRI.

Oil of ginger contains gingerol unique taste of ginger, effective to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting, for example because of drunken drive or on a young pregnant woman. Also it can be used for stimulate the appetite, strengthens intestinal muscles, helping to relieve intestinal gas and help the heart function. In traditional Asian medicine, ginger is used to treat colds, cough, diarrhea, arthritis and bone diseases such as arthritis. Ginger is also used to improve the cleaning of the body through sweat.

Modern research has scientifically proven benefits of ginger, among others:

  1. Reduce blood pressure. This is because ginger stimulates the release of adrenalines which widen blood vessels as a result of blood flow more quickly and without problems, and lighten the work of the heart pumps blood.
  2. Helps digestion, because ginger contains digestive enzymes protease and lipase, which digests each of protein and fat.
  3. Gingerol in ginger is an anticoagulant, which prevents blood clotting. So to prevent deep vein thrombosis, the main cause of strokes and heart attacks. Gingerol also thought to help lower cholesterol.
  4. Prevent nausea, as ginger can block serotonin, the chemical that can cause the stomach to contract, causing nausea. Including nausea due to motion sickness.
  5. Make the stomach to be comfortable, relieve abdominal cramps and help out the wind.
  6. Ginger also contains antioxidants that help neutralize the damaging effects caused by free radicals in the body.

Bakpao

Bakpao is Chinese traditional food, in Indonesia the food made by tionghoa who lives in Indonesia. The food actually like bread but the looks like bun bread so can put content inside the food.

Usually in Indonesia traditional market they put the inside with meat or green beans which already boil before with coconut oil mix with sugar. How to distinguish? Unique way is by put some mark on the bottoms of the Bakpao with red mark and who did not have the mark is for the green beans.

Explanation:

  • = percentage from flour which used, can use the cold water from freezer

How to make

  1. Put all the ingredients’ (except the shortening) into the mixing bowl. Use dough hook and mix with maximum speed 1 for a minute using mixer.
  2. Change to speed 2 and mix until 5 minutes.
  3. Add more the shortening and mix again with speed 2 until 11 minutes or until you have the dough. Let the dough until you have 28◦C
  4. weigh ounces and rounded dough
  5. Proofing until 45 minutes or until you has double size of it.
  6. steam for 12 minutes with small fire

Salmon Santa

Hi guys…Christmas day will be arriving soon; I hope you already prepare good food for your big family or you have a date with your lovely girl’s friends. Try this out, Salmon fish friend with wheat flour. For the loving taste makes some tomatoes sauce feat with pineapple fruit. So the taste little bit strong and sweet sour. For the big family you may add some rice, salad, and juice. If that’s not enough you can fried some hot chicken wings.

How to make salmon santa on your Christmas day:

Main ingredient:

Þ    600 – 800 gram Salmon fillet

Additional material

Þ    One Pineapple fruit

Þ    Tomatoes sauce

Þ    celery

Þ    200 gram wheat flour

Þ    Salt

How to cook:

1. Coat fish with lemon and salt. Wait until five minutes.

2. After five minutes, slice it until you have one inch long. Boil the fish for almost 5 or 6 minutes on the boiled water.

3. Take out the slice and fried for 5 or 7 minutes.

4. If the fish already finish, put on the serve plate and decorate as you like

5. Now blend the pineapple until it’s soft

6. Mix the pineapple sauce with the tomatoes sauce and slice the celery to small piece.

8. Pour sauce the sauce on top of the fried fish and also pour the celery on it.

9. Done, you already make the salmon santa. Put pieces of cheese lane on the side of the plate for the sweetness.
